Container Sale French Finds…

Spent the day sorting through beautiful french linen [my favorite kind of textile!] Patine, a small vintage boutique in Santa Cruz offers an amazing European container sale, that allows people like me to shop french antiques without ever having to leave the country. So much fun!

Bale Couch…….

Behold, all things have become new! Kinda like this French Linen beauty @arteagaupholstery outfitted for SH today. The BALE couch is a sweet craigslist find [yep, craigslist!] I purchased this divine piece from the granddaughter of its original owner; who from what we were told owned several antique shops. After passing, the granddaughter that I met with inherited several of her beloved grandmothers collections…. I scored an old linen blanket from one of my prior buying escapades and decided to use it to cover up this 1800’s find. I also added the indigo stripped pillow because I thought the textile was the perfect fit! If our pieces could talk, I sometimes wonder the stories they’d tell!

I didn’t get the chance to photograph a before picture, however; here’s a glance at the yellow upholstery it was found in. Just a few minor touches left to be done –  what do you think about the new coverings we’ve added? Love it, or leave it??
